Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by a 4-1 scoreline in the five-match T20I series. The home team dominated all the way. They showcased their wares to the rest of the world, displaying their superiority over their opponents.
Bangladesh, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, were missing some of their stars for the first three matches. Yet, they still managed to do their best and entertain the hordes of fans who were gathering in Chattogram and Dhaka to see the matches.
Zimbabwe were rather poor throughout the series. Yet, they won the fifth game at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka for a consolation prize they were seeking all along. Skipper Sikandar Raza, renowned for his exploits in T20 cricket across the world, did not show much disappointment.
He said he had brought a rather inexperienced side and it was natural for them to take some time to get used to the spin tracks of the subcontinent. With Sean Williams retiring after the series, the Zimbabwean camp now must figure out how to move forward.
