In a major development, the Indian women’s team is all set to play a five-match T20I series against Bangladesh in the latter country starting April 28. According to the schedule shared by the Bangladesh Cricket Board, the Indian team is expected to arrive in Bangladesh on April 23 and depart on May 10.
The two teams play five games in this bilateral series. The first match, on April 28, will be a day-night affair. The second game, on April 30, will also be a day-night affair, while the next two matches, May 2 and May 4, will be played during the day.
The series’ final game between the two teams will be on May 9. It will be a day-night affair. Harmanpreet Kaur’s side will not have to travel much in the country as they will be based in Sylhet. The Sylhet International Cricket Stadium will host all the games played in this series.
Bangladesh Women, led by wicketkeeper-batter Nigar Sultana, come into this series on the back of a massive thrashing they received at the hands of Australia Women recently. India Women will provide a lot of challenges to the Bangladesh side in this series, and it will be interesting to see which way it goes.
